Chili catches some shut eye while she canI can't believe there are only a few days left until the pups go to new homes!! It has been a busy week, with many visitors. It has been a fun week, with the pups being at the best age for fun and games. It has been a worrying week, with one of the pups suffering both a leg injury and a growth issue, but he is doing well and hopefully on the road to recovery. The pups finally have names and will soon be heading out to new families in several different states. This litter has been a joy to raise and I will enjoy these last few days with them.

Puppies napping at work- car troubles kept me from bringing them as often as my past litters but they did enjoy time socializing at the Academy.
Break time at work- I don't smoke so I take puppy potty breaks instead of smoke breaks

I don't know how Miss Blue can be comfortable having her face smooshed but napped for quite a while in this position

Green enjoys a soup bone- the pups had them for the first time this week
Green shows off his wraps ( we call them leg warmers around the house). He is growing so fast that his tendons and ligaments in his front legs are having a hard time keeping up with the bone growth. He was switched to a lower calorie food to slow his growth and needs legs wraps for a couple weeks. It almost always corrects itself quickly with these precautions. After only two days on the wraps, one of his legs is fine and is no longer wrapped, but the other is coming along more slowly, especially after he injured that leg while trying to scale his xpen. Green was going to stay with me for a couple extra months anyway as he is joining my parents in New York...after housetraining and basic obedience is done. The benefits of having a daughter that is a dog trainer!
